The included Glue Hub connects to your lock using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and the internet via your home Wi-Fi. You configure your hub in the Glue app during its installation.
The Glue Hub is compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only.
The Glue Hub will only be able to connect to routers supporting one of the following protocols:●802.11b●802.11g●802.11n (operating at 2.4GHz, as mentioned above).
Apple AirPort Extreme routers are not supported. Apple AirPort Express routers can be used if they are placed in Bridge Mode. Home Wi-Fi networks that use a Double NAT configuration may prevent connectivity to the Glue Hub. This configuration is usually encountered when two routers exist in the network (e.g., when a secondary router is connected to the router provided by the ISP in order to improve signal range).
Dual-band routers (those that can create 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi networks) should be compatible with the Glue Hub, as long as the other specifications above are met, though compatibility cannot be guaranteed for any particular model.
The Wi-Fi network SSID must be visible and the network must use WPA or WPA2 security. There must be decent Wi-Fi signal strength for the Glue Hub to in order for it to both find and connect to the Wi-Fi network.
